With the discontinuation of batgirl, The current incarnation of the DCEU seems to be disappearing. Warner Bros. has confirmed that it plans to ‘reset’ continuity so cinematic Flash, Aquaman And the lost kingdom, Black Adam, When Shazam! wrath of the gods Might be the last gasp of what started with the man of steel almost ten years ago.

But many have pointed out that Warner Bros. may already have a place to start fresh. Batman is Completely separate from the existing DCEU, it is fertile territory for new storytelling. But can the very down-to-earth world we see in Matt Reeves’ films really expand to encompass aliens, magic, and true superpowers?

But when Warner Bros delayed production by 3 years due to casting issues with Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Suicide Squad director David Ayer dropping out at short notice, Warner Bros gave Affleck time to finish off Gigli instead of waiting any longer for Aronofsky’s version of The Batman with less interference from Warner Bros.

While Affleck was filming Gigli, Warner Bros reportedly gave David Ayer another chance after his dropout from Suicide Squad by making him direct Batfleck instead of directing Villain Actor himself since Affleck would have still been playing Bruce Wayne/Batman at that point while playing other characters in other movies such as Daredevil and Lestat.

With all these delays, which were apparently because Warner Bros wanted more control over their superhero movies, Darren Aronofsky supposedly saw little chance of finishing off his version of The Batman before audiences had already seen Ben Affleck play Bruce Wayne/Batman in live-action before seeing him play that role as a young boy again later in flashbacks late in the film when Rachel Dane (played by Anna Kendrick) encounters him as Thomas Wayne decades earlier after she accidentally spills coffee on him while waiting tables at her favourite restaurant Gotham Cafe (which is where she first sees Gotham Knight).

Although there are many factors contributing to what Robert Pattinson is currently earning for starring in Darren Aronofsky’s version of The Batman, including Pattisongs own acting skills which are commendable despite critics finding fault with his performance as both Bruce Wayne day and Thomas Wayneday.
