Horror video game fan 5 nights at Freddy’s After the movie was announced in 2015, we waited over seven years for it to come to fruition.
5 nights at Freddy’s is a video game created by Scott Cawthon that puts you in the shoes of a security guard tasked with monitoring a family-run pizza restaurant at night. The player must monitor various cameras, doors, vents and lights to avoid being killed by the evil animatronic his mascot.
Since its launch in 2014, the popular game has seen various sequels and iterations, gaining popularity with the help of various “Let’s Play” segments on YouTube. The cinematic journey began with producers Seth Graham Smith, Roy Lee and David Katzenberg. this and Gil Kennan (Ghostbusters: Afterlife) direct mount.
After clashing with Cawthon over creative differences, Blumhouse Productions eventually acquired the rights. at one point, Harry potter Director Chris Columbus was attached, but he also left a creative difference. For a while the project seemed dead – until now.
Blum shared behind-the-scenes images from the film, revealing that Blumhouse has partnered with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to begin creating the evil mascots for the film.
In a previous interview with screen runt, Bram said the film is really focused on making sure it does justice to its source material. He also said he wanted to make sure it got Cawthon’s approval.
“[The film is] Really hard to crack. We created multiple scripts. 5 nights at Freddy’s and make scott [Cawthon] Happy. The only way we can go about it is to give Scott… I don’t want to do something Scott doesn’t like. I have no right to do something Scott doesn’t like. Basically, Scott has the equivalent of a final cut. And it took longer than I would have liked to get the story right. And I’m sure it will work out in the end. ”
Most recently, he shared that this news was “dangerously close” to being revealed about the project. , Blumhouse is about to announce it.
